Some of the lyrics like many songs kinda flew by me, but I had an inkling the chorus, and the line "things aren't always what they seem to be" jumped out, some dismiss simply as a cliche like human proximity or invitation thereof, which could be one meaning as if opening up to another. I like this song, in feel, and structure, and the forlorn sounding bridge with the heavy bass.
